What was the highlight of Southern Cross Resort
Go for the golf
Nice golf course. Beautiful view of the coast and Mt Fuji over beautiful golf course parkland.
The room and beds were uncomfortable. The hotel was noisy and the rooms offered no quiet. There was no dinner available as the restaurant was closed. There is no town shuttle even though the hotel is 10 minutes taxi ride from restaurants and shopping. Not a great choice unless you go for the golf.

What was the highlight of Southern Cross Resort
Old and tired, but clean and great views
Lovely view from the rooms. Clean. Pleasant lounge. Very nice to walk around the grounds.
Rooms are clean but are rather tired and in need of renovation. The booking we made was for "room selected at check-in", which I would interpret to mean that we would have some choice of room. In fact, what it means is "you will be allocated a room at check-in, with no consideration for your preference". In our case we wanted a double bed, not two singles. The hotel had relatively few guests so there certainly would have been double beds available, but apparently this was not possible. Suggest changing the wording to make it clear that you will NOT be able to select a room. Breakfast buffet was only so-so. The vending machine beer prices were unacceptable - 400 yen for a 350ml can of beer is just too much. Note to management: at a more reasonable price, we would have bought 3-4 cans. Recommend that guests stop at a convenience store before coming here.

What was the highlight of Southern Cross Resort
Old fashioned hotel good if you find a deal.
Very big rooms for Japan standards, has onsen and friendly, helpful staff. Nice views to the golf area.
It's outdated and some of the facilities need refurbishment. We didn't book for dinner but arrived a bit late, managed to eat there but basically only one dish to choose from as there wasn't more food. The breakfast buffet is varied but mediocre. A bit pricey for what you get.

What was the highlight of Southern Cross Resort
Good place
The food was great. It was well prepared and fairly decent. The room was average. The best part of the place was the outdoor jacuzzi and pool! The onsen was good too.
Had problem with our air conditioning at the room but really didnt matter because the weather was good and all.
